Pay
Salaried Grade 7 or 10
$72,500 - $103,800 / year, depending on experience and qualifications. Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, typically 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (provides support to a three-shift operation and must be flexible in work schedule and hours)

Job Summary
McKee Foods Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner
to join the Kingman, Arizona Distribution Center. The Kingman Distribution Center is staffed with dedicated professionals, including office and warehouse personnel, skilled mechanics, and long-haul drivers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Business Partnership: Builds strong relationships with the internal business unit they support and acquires a deep knowledge of the business unit, key employees and business processes. Acts as a single point of contact for all leaders and employees in the business unit. Advises on human resources-related issues and delivers value-added services to the business unit.
- Employee Relations: Works in conjunction with business leaders and employees to promote positive employee relations. Partners with senior HR staff and legal counsel, if necessary, to ensure appropriate governance, compliance and risk management.
- Workforce Planning: Works to ensure the selection of key talent, both internally and externally, for assigned business unit. Identifies talent gaps and development areas across the business unit they support to build the workforce needed to achieve company strategic goals.
- Performance Management: Provides performance management guidance to business leaders (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, corrective action, etc.). Assists business leaders in the facilitation and accomplishment of goal setting and development plans.
- Organizational Planning & Development: Functions as an objective consultant to business leaders with regard to organizational issues which impact people (organizational structure, managing change, promotions, job profiles, career, succession planning, etc.).
- Analytical Problem Solving: Anticipates, identifies, and proactively communicates human resource-related gaps and needs as it relates to the business unit. Collaboratively develops integrated business solutions to improve processes. Measures, analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of HR programs and processes to assist business leaders.
- Effective execution of day-to-day duties: Provides added value and generates significant customer satisfaction while promoting teamwork and information sharing through execution of the following responsibilities:
- Performs all aspects of human resource function for the Kingman Distribution Center including hiring, orientation, coaching and counseling, policy consultation, etc.; drives implementation of key HR initiatives.
- Acts as the facility training coordinator by researching and coordinating &/or performing the needed training for hourly and salaried staff to drive effectiveness of individuals and teams; assist with facilitating routine and ad hoc team meetings.
- Acts as the facility safety administrator by being a resource to local management and overseeing the near miss and accident reporting process.
- Serves on the corporate Talent Acquisition team, and leads efforts to implement recruiting and on-boarding solutions at the location.
- Manages projects that are assigned (e.g. HR process improvements, training and development, compensation reviews, merit recommendations, turnover analysis, etc.), and presents key findings and results to stakeholders.
- Acts as the facility Community Relations Contact by overseeing requests for donations and being involved in projects that support the community (i.e., United Way, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 2 years of full-time experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or related experience
- Analytical decision-making skills; demonstrates a breadth and depth of analysis, considers multiple points of view; focuses on root causes of problems rather than symptoms.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation and delivery skills
- Experience and/or willingness to champion the areas of safety and personal development training
- Ability to use information and insights from diverse levels of management and employees to develop and build organizational buy-in for initiatives
- Demonstrated understanding of and compliance with EEO and Affirmative Action laws and policies
- Must recognize business needs and take appropriate action to meet those needs.
- Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in HR Field (i.e. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SWP) or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
- 3-5 years of full-time experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, Trainer or related experience
- HR experience in transportation
- Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field
- Familiarity and knowledge of D.O.T. regulations
- Familiarity and knowledge of O.S.H.A. regulations and accident reporting procedures.
- Experience as a training facilitator
- Experience with Workday or other HR SaaS (Software-as-a-Service)
- Experience developing/implementing a strategic workforce planning
- Training or certification conducting investigations (employment related)
