$26.17 - $30.48/ hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Plus $2.00/ hr shift premium for 3rd shift hours

Schedule

3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday, 10:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)

Onsite; other days and hours as needed

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Shipping Client Operator to join our Shipping Department.

  • Utilize the WMS to ensure efficient flow of work assignments to meet the departmental objectives
  • Troubleshoot issues in WMS and take appropriate actions to correct error(s)
  • Provide timely business communication to coworkers, transportation, production, technical services, and other plant locations and outside carriers
  • Utilize TrackX to ensure efficient movement of trailers to support shipping, ingredient and packaging receiving as well as ESD
  • Provide support for WMS system initiatives such as implementing new functionality, software upgrades, or expanding systems to new areas of coverage
  • Support resequencing efforts as they arise
  • Support the use of the Shipping Department’s 48 Hour planning practices
  • Fully support and coordinate period end inventory processes as needed
  • Run detailed reports for various operational areas such as shortages, inbound receipts, supply items, inventory and inventory transaction records, employee productivity, etc. Assist supervisors and SROs as needed (ie. new employee training, information research, shift inventory, etc.)
  • Track routine procedural discrepancies (ie. inventory in wrong location, locked status, reprint missing labels, move task management, etc.)
  • Rearrange load priority based on scheduled dispatch times
  • Perform duties and fulfill responsibilities using established safe techniques, procedures, and needed personal protective equipment
  • Provide assistance and report issues with forklift and freight spotter equipment
  • Willing to work other than scheduled times for emergencies or as needed
  • Fill in for the shift supervisor in his or her absence
  • Leads out in toolbox meetings as needed
  • Participates in process improvement projects to support the department
  • Participates in, and can facilitate product withdrawal exercises
  • Other tasks as needed to meet department and Company needs

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills, MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
  • Proven ability to follow standard operating procedures
  • Must be willing to attend training as required by management
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, extended shifts and additional days as needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Lift Truck Operator, scissor lift and yard dog license
  • Demonstrate ability to work at extended heights
  • DMV Record must be obtained by the Safety Department
  • Lift Truck vision screen must be completed by Employee Health Services and must meet Lift Truck standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in McKee Foods shipping with fundamental understanding of warehousing concepts
  • Proficient with Dispatcher (WMS),  Yard Management System (YMS), Shipping Dashboard, and Label Printing System (LPS) with regard to finished goods
  • Experience with variety business software applications, Outlook, OPM Reports, and BI reports
  • Working knowledge of OPM, OMS, Scheduling and Routing
