Pay

$19.29-21.69 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Plus $1.00/ hr shift premium for 2nd shift hours

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Sanitation Specialist to join our Environmental Services Department (ESD). In this role, you’ll help ensure our production areas and equipment are clean, safe, and ready to produce the high-quality products our customers love. You will work throughout the facility cleaning and sanitizing equipment using high-pressure systems and specialized sanitation tools.

• Clean designated areas according to the Master Sanitation System (MSS) or as directed by the supervisor
• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production lines and surrounding environments
• Work in a variety of conditions including hot, cold, wet, and dry areas, and at different heights
• Safely lift up to 40 lbs and work around moving equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Attend specialized sanitation or safety training as needed
• Handle and apply cleaning chemicals in accordance with training and company standards
• Read and follow production schedules to ensure timely cleaning and setup of equipment

Required Qualifications

• Have or be able to obtain a Scissor Lift License
• Basic computer skills
• Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Consistent and reliable attendance and safety record
• Understanding and adherence to company food safety and product purity standards
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple cleaning tasks effectively
• Good communication skills with peers and management
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks in varying temperature and humidity conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous industrial cleaning experience
• Experience in food processing or food manufacturing
• Familiarity with industrial or manufacturing sanitation procedures
• Basic understanding of sanitation equipment functions and operations
• Experience operating lift equipment
• Related safety or sanitation training such as bloodborne pathogens, confined space, lockout/tagout, dust hazard, or chemical management
